The current BAAP website is the culmination of the work of volunteers dating back to 2007.

An older iteration was designed by Caroline Williams © 2007 on the basis of text by Francis Nolan © 2007. It was maintained by Iain Edmonds until 2024, when it was redesigned by Georges Sakr © 2025. The logo used here has been in circulation since at least the 2022 colloquium.

The rework was made with design inspiration from the original BAAP website as well as various templates by HTML5 UP. It is built atop open-source code from Bootstrap (used under the MIT license) using various open-source and/or public domain technologies. As such, this website is © British Association of Academic Phoneticians, 2025. All rights reserved.

The BAAP website, particularly the Members Area, uses cookies for different reasons, including measuring your visits. We do not record any personal information you do not explicitly enter into the website yourself, and we will delete any of your submitted personal data which you ask us to delete by emailing the BAAP Secretary, in full compliance with the relevant data protection legislation at the time of this publication.
